Got a brand new Samsung Rogue on December 12th.  I have a 25MB plan and I noticed the phone has a data timer that keeps up with how much bandwidth you have used.

According to the Rogue:
1.66 MB Transmit
8.80 MB Received
10.46 MB Total

According to My Verizon:
4.487 MB Used as of 12/23/09

What should I trust to go by?  I'm pretty cautious about the 25MB and when my phone says that I have used twice as much as the website's counter, I'm pretty confused.

If you consume a lot of data, it takes a while before Verizon's estimate on My Verizon will update, I think it updates a few times per day.  The second thing is that the phone registers all data usage, not just billable usage.  If you visit My Verizon to view your usage or features, you'll notice that it says that viewing that portal will not incur any usage charges.

menu - recent calls - view timers - scroll down the page.
Nitro is correct, there is significant lag in data usage posting to the web.  And Verizons site is not charged against your usage.
