I <3 eBay for the microSD's! I never stray away from SanDisk, though.

Kingston is safe.  Just as good as San Disk.  I have a few friends that use them with some high end dSLR camera's and have never had a problem with them.

My MicroSD Card in my Rogue....... Sandisk

The one in my Cannon Power Shot.... Kingston

The 16gb Personal Flash Drive that I carry....... Kingston

The 16gb Business Flash Drive I carry....... Sandisk

I have had other lesser brands go "POOOF" on me for no apparent reason, Like "PNY" Flash Drives..

Now in my home computers (4) including the Notebook... "Corsair" all the way!!!

I like the reputation of Corsair Flash Drives...

Just don't care for their physical size..... (awkward is a good word)...

Mine are all SanDisk. My Nikon, my phone, my flash drives. I do have a Maxwell flash drive I got from the college and it broke :/

I have a WD 1TB External HD, which looks nice but sometimes it had an issue where it wiped everything off (happened only once, luckily). I was going to go for the Toshiba but since I hate my laptop, I felt no need for it, lol.

Well, my ex boyfriend had one when I was with him and I absolutely LOVED it. This one (I have the A305-S6898 - Best Buy special :/) I have had for a year, in March and have had nothing but problems. I've had to send it away twice, already. The hard drive was replaced the first time and it still has issues with freezing and shutting down when it wants to. It's really bad at overheating, and i've gone through cans and cans of air just to make sure it isn't clogged with dust and it still does it.

I think I prefer HP, as well. My desktop (7170N) has lasted years and it's still wonderful as ever. I even upgraded both to Win 7 and, even though the desktop is slower (since it's never had hardware upgraded), I prefer using it most times cause it doesn't have issues with freezing up on me. My desktop is what I use for music and I have my external HD attached to it plus every program I run (Microsoft Office, PSP, Audacity, , ,  etc).

This laptop has maybe 1 document, about 75 pictures and Paint Shop and Audacity installed, nothing more. Nothing downloaded from the internet and it still sucks compared to the tons of things on my desktop.

I was thinking of getting rid of this one and getting a Vaio laptop or maybe even a Mac, since i've never even used one - but idk how well they run. I guess a new digicam is top priority though since mine is about 4 years old and it's just beaten up... and my mini, for school (which will be an HP).

"Hero member"

Nice.....

Your problem with the Toshiba Satellite A305-S6898 surprises me some... Every Brand has their lemon models... (Dell more then most) But yours is still highly rated...

Boy did we stray off topic here huh Smiley

Apologies all around.........

Yea, that's why I bought it, because of the high rating - though I joined the Toshiba forum and noticed a ton of people with the same issues. That stupid blue screen of death...

and yes, sry for the wandering off the MicroSD topics path, haha

At the risk of furthering this side trip....

My younger daughter has a Toshiba laptop and it runs fine, but some of the keys (Page Up, End, etc.) seem to be laid out really strangely and I have a hard time using it.

I have a 4 1/2 year old Dell D810 that was barely functional with Windows XP.  It is a little beat up, only has 512MB RAM, and was ready for the scrap heap.  Just to try it, I slicked the HDD and installed Ubuntu 9.10 on it and it runs great!!!  Much better than I ever anticpated.  Just today I had an Apache server, Oracle 10g, PHP5, multiple Firefox tabs, ssh to my Red Hat box, 2 word processor dox., 1 spreadsheet, and listening to the radio on-line and it had no problems with the load (even managed a game of Mahjongg or 2)... and I can mount my Rogue's SD card as a file system in USB mode.  It has become my main personal system.
