These are some tricks and tips may be can help you when you have some trouble with your Samsung Rogue cell phone. SHC -U960 info

1. How do I transfer files to my Samsung Rogue phone without a memory card?

    * you press contents in the PC Suite.
    * Then you can transfer things
    * First find the file(s) that need to be transferred.
    * Then right click, click copy
    * Find where it needs to be transferred to and click Paste.

2. I have transfered my files but they dont show up on my Samsung Rogue phone?

Check the length of the filename, if its very long then re-name it to something smaller, but make sure you keep the file extension e.g .mp3 otherwise your pc/phone will not recognize it as a valid file.

3. I formatted my card in the phone and now it only reads as 2gb.

You should not format the card in the phone initially, format it on your pc or a card reader.  Format it to FAT 32 only.
Once you have a clean card, reformatting it on the phone will create all the folders used by the phone.
The proper size should now show up as well.. up too 16gb

Has anybody managed to make this work? I installed PC studio and I can't access the Rogue's internal memory. I tried to add some of my contacts pictures and it detects the Rogue but not any of the folders on it. I checked the PC suite but I think that is for Nokia. What am I doing wrong?

I use VZWAccess Manager from here: http://www.vzam.net/download/supported.aspx

Just look for the Rogue and it should work.

I am using VZWaccess manager and my computer detects the phone, but the only thing I have access to are the text messages and nothing else. I even installed a microSD card and I still have no access to it. Angry

I found a work around that works if you have a MicroSD card. After the card is installed and formatted with the phone, it creates copies of all the folders on the phone on your card. Now if you go to, Settings & Tools >>> Tools >>> USB Mass storage. With your phone connected to the computer hit USB Mass storage now. Your computer now sees the MicroSD card as a usb storage device with all the requisite folders. Copy all the files you want on (example pictures). Now when you disconnect the phone from your computer, you can go to my pictures for instance and it will tell you which files are on your external memory and phone memory. To move files onto the phones memory, just touch the file (picture in this case), select options and select move to phone. Viola!! Pictures are now on phone internal memory. You can move most things back and forth like that.

I like the feature when viewing photos in Media Center - turning the phone left or right will make the images move on their own.

Don't know how many people actually knew about this so I figured i'd post it in the tips :-)

I have a question about texting, that maybe someone can help me with.  When I go to reply to a text, I sometimes accidentally press the send button on the touch screen, before I have typed anything.  Now usually if I did this on my old phone(lg dare) I could just press the call end button, and the text would cancel.  However, I have not been able to do this with the rogue, nor have had any luck pressing other buttons (like the middle "c" button).  Does anyone have any idea if the rogue has the ability to cancel a text while it is being sent?
Thanks

Interestingly enough, the End Call button now cancels my texts before they are sent.  I didn't do anything for this to happen, it just started working one day lol

I prefer no software at all for moving pics, movies, music and photo's..  I usually use a MicroSD Card reader and just drag & drop everything I need /want moved..........
Or Sometimes its more convenient to use the USB cable with the phones USB Mass Storage option..
