In case anyone is interested...

The Rogue works great with Ubuntu 9.10.  I have been able to connect it to my old Dell Latitude D810 in USB Mode and transfer "Word" documents created with OpenOffice 3.1 and pictures (JPEG) edited with The Gimp.

"Word" Document Status
- Edited with Open Office 3.1 and saved as a .docx - OK
- Edited with Open Office 3.1 and saved as native .odt - Does not work (as expected)
- Edited with Open Office 3.1, saved as native .odt, then renamed to .doc - Does not work (it was worth a try to see what would happen).

Update 11/8/09: "Does not work" here means that the File Viewer cannot display the document.  However, the files do transfer to the phone, so it could be used as a thumb drive under Ubuntu.

The Gimp - Works as expected.
- Copied a .jpg from the phone and resized it to 800x800.
- Was able to use the new file as wallpaper.

The SD card in the Rogue looks like a second SCSI drive to the OS.  Here is an example with my 4GB card:
