Am I the last one to find out about this??? Has anyone here tried this or is using it? Is there any pros/cons?

"one reader used his cellphone provider's "My Circle" feature to make unlimited free calls with Google Voice."

Does Google Voice work with plans that aren't a friends and family plan? And how exactly do I set that up. Thanks for any help.

When you sent up Google voice you are given a choice of a bunch of phone numbers to choose from. You pick out a number. Then while on line you put a number you want your call fowarded to, In my case my cell phone. You then have to have a circle or friends and family plan to make and receive free calls. When someone calls your google number if they are not in your contacts a voice will come on and ask your name and will say please wait while we connect your call. You will then receive the call with their caller id number. If you do not answer the caller can leave a voice mail on google voice and that voice mail can be setup to send a txt message or e mail of the voice mail...Which i like. If the person is allready in your google voice contatcs their call will go directly thru without hearing the greeting from google voice. If you want to make a free out going call you dial your google voice number then the number 2 then the number you want to call...Yea you have to dial alot of numbers but its a free call. I do not use it alot as I do not make alot of calls but for someone who does this is perfect. As far as google voice working without a friends and fam plan..Well all I can say is you wont get free calls but I would still check into it because say you get an important phone call while in a place you can't answer the phone but can read a txt. That persons voice mail will automatically be txt to you word for word. Another nice feature is you can set up different greetings for each of your contacts...Say Bob calls..Your greeting could say sorry i missed your call Bob. I will call you back as soon as I can. Hope I made since with this post.
