Hold down the camera button for 5 seconds and it will switch to camcorder mode. Hold it down for another 5 seconds and it swichs back to camera mode.

thanks for posting that for people who might not know how to do that - but an easier and quicker way is you can also just tap the "mode" button on the left side panel while in camera mode. To get back to camera mode, just tap the "mode" button again and you're all set.

Note To JP. Limit beer consumption when taking pics. I wondered why the cam kept switching to video mode while I was taking pics.

Thanks, I read the booklet as well. What I didn't see in the booklet was how easy it was to switch from camcorder to camera without touching the screen. It was purely by accident.

Is it even in the manual, how to do it both ways? I never see any reason to read those things unless it's a super complicated device.
Most phones I have owned have that same feature if it has a camcorder, I just think it's quicker and easier to just tap the touch screen - cause, well - that's what it's there for, right? HAHA!

Gee JP,
You were right all along!! LOL
"Using the Camera Taking Photos Limit beer consumption when operating camera Two things:
1) If they were so anal to put "limit beer consumption ...." ... why didn't they state the limit? Duhhh!
2) ... they forgot the "press camera key ... and the phone makes you wait five seconds for the camera to respond ... in which time your dog, or the person in the picture, walks off frustrated for waiting and you take a shot of an empty space"

Vodka wasn't even mentioned either.. (I feel slighted) "in which time your dog, or the person in the picture, walks off frustrated for waiting and you take a shot of an empty space" I have a gallery of empty chairs and empty carpet spaces to share Have a few Fur Blurs as well!!
