I would like for the widgets "folder" not to expand when you drag them to your main screen.  Why do they stay opened up?  That's stupid.

Agree.. the Widgets Folder thing is a FAIL.......

I've had my Rogue now for a couple weeks. Overall I really like it, however the ability to truly customize widgets would be great. Sine this phone is touted as a pda-ish phone, it would great to be able to add the "email" and "browser" icons to the widget bar. I'm actually stunned that you can't do this already. After all, these are the two main functions that most people will use on this phone. I can add the sketch pad thing but not email and browser...seriously?? C'mon man!!  Huh

Browser is already there - though it defaults to "My Verizon" page first - but you can go where you want from there.

Any other shortcuts can be put in your shortcuts widget. Not exactly a widget per-se, but at least you can have shorter access to the stuff you want to customize.

Have you tried voice commands? Really cool and fast access. Try hitting the talk button and say "Go To Browser" and see what happens. (you may have to do the tutorial and voice training first) You can also do almost any menu action with voice commands.

When using the pdf viewer and you zoom in to view a document, one would *think* that when you close the zoom bar, that the zoom would stay at what you just zoomed the document to, wouldn't you.  Well, what happens when you close the zoom bar, is that the zoom returns back to microscopic view.  So there is no way to get rid of the zoom bar and actually view the pdf at a magnification the human eye can actually see.

Found another bug!  They should have had me test this thing out for them before releasing it to the public!  Grin

When editing an appointment in the calendar app, pressing the shift key does change capitalization, but the indicator does not stay displayed in upper right of screen like it does when creating a text or appointment the first time.  In other words, each press of the shift key briefly shows the capitalization indicator, but it does not stay displayed so you know how it's set.  You have to keep pressing it to see what it is set to which also cycles it to the next setting.

I would suggest that everyone on here that has a bug/issue/suggestion for Samsung to email them here:  http://www.samsung.com/us/info/contactus.html

Maybe if enough people mention the same things, they will actually do something about it.

Did any of ya'll notice that when you end a call to a number in your phonebook, on the timer screen where it shows you how long you talked, there is a grey button at the bottom and when you press it it reacts like a button but nothing happens. Its like that one mysterious light switch that you have no clue what it turns on lol  Grin

I received a reply to each of the 2 emails I've sent to Samsung so far.  At least maybe someone is reading them.  It took several days to receive the replies and they both were totally different, so maybe a warm body actually replied instead of a bot.

1st reply (pretty generic):

"Thank you for your correspondence. We appreciate you taking the time out of your busy day to tell us about your experience.   We are taking the liberty of forwarding this information to the appropriate parties for review.

We do thank you for your continued interest in Samsung products.

Sincerely

Technical Support"

Second reply:

"Thank you for taking the time to inform us of the many issues concerning your Rogue.  We always appreciate hearing from our customers, as your comments are vital for us to continue improving our products, as well as our business.

We will forward your feedback along to the appropriate parties for consideration and review regarding a maintenance release for this model.

We are unable to speculate when/if this software revision addressing these issues might be available due to the fact that this might lead to inaccurate information and confusion.

Thank you again for your comments.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Sincerely,

Technical Support

Not much real info on updates, but if EVERYONE will email them with the same issues or any issues, they at least will get the message.  If they hear nothing from their customers, then they will think everything is fine with the phone.

I want it so when someone calls you it won't unlock itself automatically, that you have to unlock it then answer the call, because when I pull it out of my pocket I always hit the end call button by mistake.

I always have to unlock my phone to answer.  I'm not sure what setting makes my phone this way, but I always have to "Touch to unlock" when I receive a call.

menu > settings and tools > call settings > answer options
-The only one I have checked is "Slide Open"

And I have none checked.  I tried to make mine so it wouldn't require me to unlock it before answering like bunkshus' phone (by changing several answer settings), but I can't duplicate it.

You can also try testing your unlock button on the side of the phone, maybe you are hitting that button also....

I would uncheck all those settings, set phone on desk/table and call it and see if it asks to be unlocked or not. i know i have clicked the unlock button on the side of the phone when it was in my pocket and it unlocked and ended a call before
