Mobile Email Update

Ok so yesterday I went on my mobile email and found that there was an update. During the update it stated that it would keep all your account info. Well it didn't & I had to re-input all my email accounts (not that big of a deal). Other than that everything seems to be fine with the update except for one thing and I would like to know if anyone else is having this issue:

When you have mail in your mobile email account; you are able to hit options and then you see the "compose" button for a new email. BUT when there is no mail in your account; there is also NO "compose" button. Whats up with that? You are unable to send a new email using mobile email if there is not any mail in your account. So I guess I will be leaving 1 old email in my account, so I will be able to compose new ones, lol.
