The .qcp files are just not good quality, I've tried a couple of converters. Audacity (which is free) is a good way to clip the files to the length you want, and Myxer.com is a good way to send them to the phone, although it is one at a time via multi-media message. But it does send as a good quality mp3, you can adjust the volume (I needed a high pitch ringer and a loud alert tone to use in a noisy work environmemnt, used eddie van halen's "eruption"

). Myxer also lets you edit the length if you don't get it quite right before you upload it. I was a little worried about using a free website, but my son is high- level IT geek, and he says he's used it for years and considers it safe. Another plus for Audacity is you can record any sound that is playing on the computer, then covert it to mp3 or a number of other formats. I've put dvd's in and made ringtones out of sound clips (Bugs Bunny "What's up, doc?" makes a great alert tone, or Curley "Woo woo woo!")
