Yes... you can use .mp3's as Ringtones...

You have to cut them down to 30 second clips..
Then go to your favorite eMaill account and address an eMail to your phone number..

I.e.  TO: 3151231234@vzwpix.com attach the Ringtone of your choice and send..

You will receive a multimedia (pic) message in about a minute.. While listening to the 'tone... you press the options key and 'SAVE as Ringtone'

The Ringtone can be from any .mp3 song or sound you have or have created......

another thing i noticed, or am just missing, i went to a few of the sites.. myxer.com, phonezoo.com, zedge.net, tonzr.com, funformobile.com.... and from what i saw those sites will only let you download one ringtone per phone then you have to have a subscription to that service.. am i correct on this? also, earlier today i downloaded a ring tone from myxer.com to my old phone and it worked fine, then i tried when i got the new phone and it said that the ring tone is not approved by verizon wireless...

thanks...

Never been asked for $$ from any of the above sites... nor have I ever had a Ringtone not be sent to my phone...

Will give a look at the 'myxer.com' thing... have not logged into there recently.. If I am denied or get that "Not Approved" thing.. I'll keep you posted...

EDIT:  Just had (2) Ringtones sent to my phone from myxer.com   No problems @ all..
They actually were sent faster then i remembered from the last time I used the site..
