I just got my Rogue the other day so I'm still figuring everything out. The only major problem I've come across is when watching youtube videos on the browser. I get super low volume. I've tried turning up the master volume and the volume on the broswer display. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?Huh

I haven't had that problem when using the headphones, but I do when plugged into the aux jack in my car. I've used the headphones for both movies and music, and it's plenty loud enough through the headphones. Is the volume as low when listening to music through the media player? Are you using headphones, or are you talking about the speaker on the back of the phone?

I haven't listened to to any music directly from the phones hard drive. Just the headphone volume when browsing the web is very quite. Like watching youtube videos. The external speaker has ok volume, its just the headphone volume I'm having trouble with. Maybe its just the volume from the websites, not a problem with the headphone jack. It kind of sucks though. I want to pass the time on the train home from work, but I can't hear anything over the noise of the train itself. I may have to buy an mini extermal amp to get more power from it.

I'm an audio nerd. I use Sony professional studio headphones. Plenty loud for any use. I let drummers use them in my studio, so they get LOUD. I don't use ear buds, due to research done on hearing loss with those.

Earbuds and headphones will give you hearing loss just the same if you play them at too high of a sound pressure level.  Rock concerts can do the same thing, even though you're 100 feet from the speakers.  I would say that the large drivers in the Sony headset doesn't have as high as a sensitivity as a set of earbuds, meaning that the Sony headphones aren't as loud as earbuds when pushing the same wattage to them.  There's also a probability that the studiophones have too low of an impedance for the amp in the Rogue.  If you want to use your studiophones with the Rogue, try buying a battery powered headphone amp that will play the signal from the Rogue amplified to your headphones.

I didn't even think to look at the impedence of the headphones compared to the phone output. Good idea. I was thinking of getting some small amp, but I may just get a pair of earbuds just to watch videos on the phone. That might drown more of the train out as well. I can't stand music through earbuds. No bass response at all. Plus, having a tranducer that close to my ear drum doesn't seem like something I want to do. I rely on my ears for mixing. I know too many musicians that have screwed up their hearing with in-ears. Even though the SPL through thoughs at a concert is more than from a cell phone.
