Music Database Not Refreshing

So I had some music on my card (4gb). My friend loaned me his 16gb card and I put more music on that. Afterwards I put my 4gb card back in. Now whenever I go into my music it shows a combination of the two cards. If I tell my phone to scan the card it will fix itself until the next time I open my music. Is there no way to reset the database other than a factory reset? I'm considering that and just backing everything up on my card. Anyone have any ideas?

The rebuild music data base is located in the Album options and Song options screens. It deletes the existing database and creates a new one.
