I purchased a headset adapter for my Samsung Glyde 2, but it doesn't seem to be working. I tried several pairs of headphones and also a 3.5mm auxiliary cable connected to a stereo. Is there a feature I need to activate to enable sound through the blade connector?

This is what I bought: http://www.fommy.com/view-full-page.asp?divid=Samsung&model=Samsung+Rogue+U960&skuno=81071

you realize this is a rogue forum right? and that the rogue has a built in headphone jack right on the side of it, no adapters necessary

btw that adapter would be useless on a rogue

LMAO shrpshtr... the "Glyde 2" is the Rogue... no idea why people bother calling it that, though.

Why, exactly, do you need a headset adapter? There is a 3.5mm headphone jack on the side of it...

shrpshtr325 - I could be wrong, but I believe the Glyde 2 is virtually the same as the Rogue.

Unfortunately, the Glyde 2 comes with a 2.5mm headphone jack, which is why I bought the adapter.

Maybe something like this would work...?

The Glyde 2 IS the Rogue... also known as the SCH-U960 (which is the Rogue).

I think you may just have a regular old Glyde. It comes with a 2.5mm jack. The SCH-U940, which came out in May 2008.

She's right (of course)

There were 2 versions of the Glyde. (1.)The Glyde & then Samsung put out (2.) the Glyde Refresh, which was meant to replace all the Glydes that were f'd up (replaced mine twice).

When the Rogue was "in development" it was being referred to as the Glyde 2.

I definitely have the Glyde 2, unfortunately it has a 2.5mm jack.

My mp3 player broke so I'm looking for a cable to hook up the phone to 3.5mm headphones and a 3.5mm auxiliary cable for my car stereo. Since most cables are ~ $5 it's less costly than replacing the mp3.

The only problem is I don't know which cable is compatible.

So if you're saying you have the Glyde 2 you have the Rogue - which has the 3.5mm jack. We all are Rogue owners here and have never had a problem with putting a regular headset into our headphone jack... which is why I don't understand why you're having the problem

But then again, if you're saying you have the 2.5mm jack... you own the original Glyde. Like we stated before, the Glyde 2 is non-existent. The Rogue is the name for what was called the Glyde 2 in post production until Samsung changed the name.

I don't think anyone can help you here if you have an alien Glyde 2 that's name doesn't exist with a 2.5mm jack.

Why wouldn't you get a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter for 3 bucks like this
http://www.meritline.com/25mm-to-35mm-stereo-headphone-adapter-for-nokia-phone-or-others---p-37304.aspx
or this?

I hope you sent that usb to 3.5mm back.
