What am I going to do with myself? I am 16 and have no hobbies besides playing soccer and playing computer games. I wanna do something with my life, I want to start thinking about what I wanna do for a career. Gimmie some advice or words of wisdom. I just wanna start working towards something. I am interested in music, but I don't feel the passion to wanna go play our piano all the time and write new songs. gah, I dunno. I am also a fatty so any fitness guru's out there was welcomed Tongue

Have you ever thought about working FOR the gaming industry? Maybe as a developer? Or get into the computer field?

Start thinking about college. Take some classes and see what interests you once you graduate.

I am 27 and that's what I am currently doing. It's a bit late in my life to just be starting but at your age I was a HS drop out who was living with her 22 year old boyfriend and eventually got pregnant at 17. I didn't have the advantage of being free to do whatever I wanted, I was too busy changing diapers and losing sleep while I was still a teenager. My going to college has made me realize what I may want to do as a career.

dude as far as fitness goes its all up to you. if you just get up and go to gym or go running you WILL loose weight. it helps if you have a friend do it with you so you can motivate eachother but it really just comes down to working your ass of to get the way you want. no one on the internet can tell you how to live your life  you just have to do it.

Fitness: Just start.  Do anything.  Walk, take a yoga class, treadmill, elliptical, weights, hiking, whatever ...  The activity itself doesn't matter.  Just try to do something every day.  The key is to mix it up and keep it fresh.  You're much more likely to stick with it that way.

Live: At 16 you're probably not supposed to know what you want to do.  Like SS said, focus on getting to college.  I know that seems an aweful long way from here but it isn't.  In the mean time, like chang said, volunteer, it'll help give you some direction and tell you more about what you like and don't like.

Good luck...

I went through the EXACT same thing at 17 ... then the epiphany, all due to a commercial on TV.

So I went and enlisted in the Marines.  Never a dull moment .... five continents, 11 different countries, 6 states, four aircraft carriers, two kids and 22 years later .... it happened again.

Moral of the story is, I don't advocate you watching commercials ... but I do advocate that you taste more than a few things in life - find one you really love - invest yoruself in it - and ride that puppy for all it's worth.
