Well I know after 31 years in IT that the first thing you do before messing with something is to back it up, and I did, and then edited my backup.  Oops!  Now browser starts and phone resets.
In the Rogue manual they talk about going to - MENU - Settings & Tools - Phone Settings - Security - Restore Phone.  It worked, my browser functions again. Grin
Make sure you backup your pics, music, CONTACTS and anything else you want to a microSD card and then overwrite the flash using this procedure.  It works.
I am going to do a better job keeping track of my backups in the future but it's nice to know as long as you don't brick your phone you can do a restore without going back to the local VZW store.
