As we all know, being verizon customers and all, Verizon has great coverage (i get coverage on the bottom floor of hotels) but they nickel and dime you for everything. I don't know if I am the only one who felt cheated when they had to settle for a smasung rogue, when they really wanted an awesome smartphone. STUPID DATA PLAN!
I propose that as a group effort, we should jailbreak our phones and put Android and windows mobile on them as a big FUCK YOU to verizon. Im sorry for my language... Im just frustrated.

i'm all for it ... f~!% verizon and there stupid data plans... android o/s on a rogue would be nice get more apps and get rid of this HIDEOUS theme thing verizon got going on

the problem with the idea is not getting android itself, it is getting into the brew OS which is on it now so that you can overwrite it with android, not even close to an easy thing to do (actually iv never heard of it being done Sad)

How you can port Android to an BREW handset, if since 9 years nearly NOBODY is able to crack BREW ...  Roll Eyes

Okay, this is theory blabla... but next REAL problem.
How you can study Firmware from Rogue... if NOBODY shared the BIN...  Angry
NOBODY dumped the Firmware...
So nobody knows how the Bootloader looks like... if RSA protected or not... etc.

Third...
If you are able to infiltrate the Bootchain to boot Android instead the AMSS...  Shocked after several months of Reverse Engineering...  Wink
How you want configure all Hardware parts like Touchdisplay... etc...

My opinion is. If you can port Android or WIN Mobile to an Qualcomm handset where formally BREW AMSS is loaded...
So you are smart enough to develop your own ARM based OS...  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Good luck and tell me when you finished. Maybe in 2013...

Start would be. Study the Firmware as BINary file.

To check Firmwarestructure like:
partition table -> partition.mbn
Bootloader chain... there are 3:
pbl->qcsbl-->oemsbl

Analyse AMSS... find an way to replace AMSS with Android...  Cheesy

Google or read QPST manual... for description... how handset Firmwareparts are named...
