so i guess this means i cant turn them off ?  its actually a problem for me because i ride a commuter bus to work every day and its deemed a "quite bus".  everyone is very quite and cell phones are turned on vibe before entering the bus.  the beeping could cause me to get some dirty looks  Embarrassed

I have tried and tried to find a way to turn it off and it's a no-go. I'm pretty sure no one else has had any luck with it, either. Boo, Samsung! lol.

I haven't found what causes the beeps to turn on, but it stays off for me most of the time.  If it does happen to start beeping while scrolling or pressing the Options buttons, do the following:  Exit the Email app, go to Settings and Tools -> Sound Settings -> Keypad Sounds.  Move the slider to the middle and back to the left side (Sounds Off).  That turns the beeping sound off again on mine.

You are welcome!  If I can nail down the beep trigger, I'll pass it along.

Try this...pull up your email and  go to "options" at the bottom of the screen.  Scroll down by tapping the arrow on the bottom right.  Tap "preferences".  It will give you the option of turing it off completley or only turning it off during specific times (like bus rides!!!)

Mobile email doesn't beep if you just touch the desired accounts instead of the select button on the bottom of the screen.

hope that helps.

And use the "C" button at the bottom instead of the <--- Back arrow...

Decent work around...
