Got the exact same problem. Dropped my phone in water, managed to pull the battery within a few seconds then let the phone sit out for a few days to dry. Everything works just fine except the A, 9, 0, and backspace are dead. The right arrow is always on which makes it impossible to send text messages or go into areas of the menu that allow right scroll.

Opened up the phone and cleaned the hell out of everything with canned air and isopropyl alcohol, let air dry for a bit, pieced together the phone again and powered up. No change. The circuits don't look fried or damaged at all.

I don't know a whole lot about circuits (EG: Soldering) but, is there any way to fix this? At the very least, cutting the circuit to the right arrow without f'n up other keys so it'll be dead?

you could try cleaning the button pads with a pencil eraser (yes this works in some situations)

or it could be as simply as removing that button from the keyboard, try taking the phone apart and see if it acts this way with the keyboard removed. . .
