Do they even exist?

Is there a similar Samsung phone you can download games for then move it onto the Rogue? I've searched everywhere; I'm not finding anything.

Similar Screenresolution is LG VX11000.
480 x 800 Pixel... no other handset known...

And YES, there are confirmed Games/Apps from VX11K running on U960.

Best Regards

As most user are scared...  Grin

The main KO is valid SIGnature file *.sig.

It is NO Secret that BREW is compatible to different devices/manufacturers...

Here you can read, what Testsig is. See attached file... it is for BREW "MP" but same for BREW...

BREW from Qualcomm is commercial Eco system... So they want money and only over the air...

This means NOT. Install via cable is impossible.  Roll Eyes

Believe it or not.  Wink

Best Regards

I think Adfree was talking about these web sites.
http://www.umnet.com/downloads/mobile-games.aspx?brandid=0&model=2269&category=0&format=brew&pageindex=0
http://www.mobilerated.com/lg-u960-games.html
If you choose Samsung - Rogue at the umnet site it lists quite a few java games.
If Rogue works like other Samsung phones it may be possible to create JAD files with JADMaker and register them with the JavaVM.  But admin access is required to register JAD files and directories.
Good luck!!

I am pretty sure I'm talking about BREW Apps which looks like this:
*.mif
*.mod
*.sig

U960 is an BREW enabled handset. NO JAVA Midlets possible, as JAVA Virtual Machine is "missing", better "removed" from Firmware.

As Samsung protected few files more then LG did... you have some problems to copy files easily from handset...
From Samsung R810 we have bypass this "problem" (read protection).
Use BTIL or BrewFM.

But again. Without valid SIGnature file *.sig you can do nothing...

BREW and BREW MP SDK are FREE and legal available from Qualcomm since many years.

But you can NOT install your OWN developed App, without paying 400 $ to Verisign...  Roll Eyes

Other BREW handsets have Flash lite installed or you can install Flash BREW extension.
So you are able to run *.swf files without hacks cracks or paying something...

http://rapidshare.com/files/331685763/VX11KBREWexamples.rar.html

It is limited for 10 Downloads... taken from VX11K...

With valid SIGnature file you should confirm this:

A few of the programs from the
LG performed as expected.  Pac-Man is unusable because input coordinates
for the touchscreen are inverted and it cannot be played with the Rogue
open.  Most other applications seem to perform as they would be
expected.  Tested mobilewiki, zuma, pac-man...

Apps from R810 supports Touchscreen, but never fits the 480 x 800 Pixel Screen of U960... only 240 x 400...
Only half size in theory...

If someone can figure out how to access the filesystem from the Browser, it may be possible to play java games in Polaris.  The browser is Java enabled.  Any ideas?

The browser is Java enabled.

If this would work... also upload *.jar to your homepage would work... in theory.

So check it out.

Webspace is everywhere for free available... upload *.jar + *.jad. Then try to access via Rogue Browser...

Example. You upload to www.mywebspace.com/JAVA.jar and www.mywebspace.com/JAVA.jad

Then you enter this in Browser and see what happens.  Grin

Also you could try this with Flash lite *.swf...

Again. This is THEORY. NOT tested... and I think this will NOT work.
Maybe you have to edit supported MIME type...

Best Regards

Another one bites the dust.
http://games.yahoo.com/daily-games/sudokudaily
Loads but no keyboard, I guess flash lite doesn't support keyboard.
Ideas?
