Does anyone know what format / program to use to convert personal video files into something that can be played back on the rogue?  I'm trying to convert some home movies to put on a microSD card so that I can have them on my phone.

Here is another one...

http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video_free/

Its a free program that works quite excellently...

When converting.. you want to pick the .mp4 format like SimplySweetness suggested...

here's what i do.. i had already purchased the download converter from mozilla firefox's download helper. i simply convert videos through this into ".3g2" files- this is the type of file the phone takes videos in anyways. settings are as follows:

output format: 3GP2 format
file extension: 3g2
video codec: mpeg4
audio codec: libfaac
bitrate: 548 kbps
frame rate: 24

the result for me has been super clear and vivid videos. makes me happy to know i am using my HD screen to its fullest capacity Smiley.

Hey rowancv what program did you use?
hey! well i use mozilla firefox as my web browser. firefox has this add-on called DOWNLOAD HELPER, and if you have that, you can also PURCHASE "Download Converter," which would essentially download an ".flv" file from youtube for example, and convert it into a ".wmv" file or whatever. I discovered that I could also take files from my OWN computer and convert them to whatever i want. i FURTHER discovered that i could convert them into ".3g2" files, which is the type of file our Rogue saves videos as. (i use the "iPhone" setting and customize it with the above settings i mentioned in my previous post, and it reads it as a Custom 3G2 setting or something like that).

the cost of the program is like $20+, but i have put it to so much use and don't regret buying it at all!
