Resolution Change on Rotate/Flip

FYI...

I took a picture at 2048x1536 @ 675K in "portrait" orientation of the phone. Went to Media Center --> Picture & Video --> My Pictures. Selected the photo and used Options --> Edit --> Rotate / Flip and saved as a new picture. The new picture is magically reduced to 640x480 resolution @ 41K. This is because the resolution in the Resize option is used even though my only intention was to rotate the picture and I never tapped the Resize option.

any of the picture "editing" that is done through the phone can only be saved with a max resolution of 640x480. I ran into that as well, just trying to draw on a pic i took. Rotating must work in the same way

thanks for the post guys. this is good to know. and it's a nice way to summarize this by saying ANY edited pic gets a lower resolution.
