Verizon is just now beginning to see the error of there ways,  As with this acceptance of the Google/Android operated phones.... there going to leave them open as Google designed (the OS) them too be

Hopefully this will now trickle down to the rest.......................

"Rumour":
The Operating System is called "REX"... an RTOS since 2001.
From Qualcomm.

.BAR or other resource files...

Samsung is NOT the Inventor... nor Verizon...

BREW is the "Baby" from Qualcomm since 2001...  Wink

Granted... but it is Verizon's choice to LOCK it Down......
Could be a nice system if Verizon wasn't such a hard-nosed & paranoid company.

If the files system wasn't  so locked up and full of locked & hidden folders & files.. what fun we could have.

Imagine the Apps Store loaded with 3rd party Applications galore............
Not to even mention the free ones!!

I like Verizon.  Cool

Because they give you the chance to buy BREW Apps.
Or sometimes offers FREE Demos.

Other carriers seems to have only chance to buy, without Trial...

Also it seems that Verizon works on more FREE Apps. But depend on Developer if they want 0 Cent from Customers... as they must pay.

And as I am from Germany.  Grin

I have since 3 years handsets with BREW as OS. But NO carrier here in Europe offer such an Store...  Sad

This is "funny". It's like you have an nice CAR and nowhere is the GAS Station.  Grin

This problem is around the world. So many handsets with Qualcomm Chipsets and BREW OS. From many different manufacturer. Not only Samsung and LG... Nearly all OEMs which sells handsets...

Best Regards

So what "free" apps are currently available?
So is it only a matter of time before someone cracks the Rogue & we can all take advantage of the 3rd party apps?

Really good Question. Verizon changed Design of their PC Version of App Store:
http://mediastore.verizonwireless.com/onlineContentStore/index.html#catName=Apps&displayDriver=522&catID=359764

For me it is very slow... So I can't show you examples. But I hope their are also few for U960 available.  Grin

I meant FREE in case of Verizon. That you can Download Trial Version for 0 Cent.

I hear from R810 user. That MetroPCS maybe not other Trials for 0 Cent... You have to pay every App...

Why i'm asking is i'm looking at getting some software to keep track of my 14 year old daughter. Something like flexi spy. I really would like to make sure she is where she says she is. That and she has had a few calls that really have me worried. Police seem not want to help.

yes get verizon's chaperone program. it's $10 a month. you'll have to get her phone and download the app to it but after that you can monitor her where ever it looks like.
