Invalid alert time error

I have a Samsung Rogue SCH-U960 and my phone is working smoothly, but sometime when I try to enter appointments in the calendar on my Rogue, I get an error message which says "Invalid Alert Time" and I can't set the appointment. Does anyone have the same problem? I tried few tips available on Internet with no luck. Can anyone help me to avoid this message and make my phone work properly?

do you have the latest software update for the phone?

go to:
menu
settings and tools
phone info (scroll down to it)
software update
status (the version you are looking for is sch-u960_DE26_to_dg25

IF that is not what you have there go back a level and instead of pressing status, press check new and it should find/install the new update
