My phone is constantly "Leaving SVC Area", "Entering SVC Area" or "Searching SVC Area".
I think I've actually missed return calls due to this issue.  Anyone else having this problem???
I have used the *228 to Update Roaming Capability hoping this would solve the problem with no success.
Any Ideas?

Thanks

Can you hear me now?
VZW is in my experience better than most about coverage, but RF is FM, as in freakin magic.
Are you rural or urban?  Most phones seem to have issues with battery life, if they spend a lot of time at high power looking for a cell tower.
Do other phones on other carriers have similar issues?  My Rogue is typically better than my previous phones, but ymmv.
Have you tried different phones to know if it's a dead zone or just the Rogue?
Good Luck.

Paul, I am in urban area.  My last phone was an LG with Verizon which had no problems.  So, shall I assume that it's the Rogue phone?    Wonder if there's anyway to tell if it's my Rogue phone or Rogue phones is general.  BTW, my battery was replaced since it was not holding its charge.

This is starting to drive my crazy!!

I have a daughter in Chicago across from the former Sears tower, it seems every third phone, she gets a lot of phones, finds a dead zone in her building.  It may very well be the Rogue, the only way to know for sure would be to get the phone replaced.
Sorry.

Are you having any 1x signal issues when you notice the messages?  If so this could be similar to what happened to me.

stryton, I have noticed low signal most often but I can't say for sure whether the 1x signal appears when I get the messages.  Will need to pay attention.   I do know that I have had  the 1x signal several times.
What happened with you?

This happened to me as well:

http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r23502270-3G-came-on-today-but-now-1x-signal-is-terrible-Need-Help

It was not my phone but the fact that Verizon threw me onto a Hybrid Network using both Verizon and Alltel towers and also updated my PRL and this started happening without notifying me

After a month of dealing with Verizon they finally submitted my original PRL back to my phone and locked my phone onto the Verizon network only.  The "entering service area"/"leaving service area" message stopped after this.

Not saying this is what is happening to you, but you may want to see what PRL is on your phone.

It appears I'm having the same problem.  After reading the discussion on the link you provided, I'm convinced.  What a pain!!  My signal is constantly changing with EV and 1x with 2-3 bars max. when I'm lucky.  Will try to get off the hybrid network.

Thanks for the info.
