Wow that was fast. They phone wasnt even out for a year yet and its already being discontinued. I heard that the samsung reality is suppose to replace the rogue which to me makes no sense. It doesnt have as good as a screen as the rogue from the reviews I have read. I heard them say that the since the two phones are very similar it doesnt make sense to keep both so they got rid of the rogue. Besides a few software quirks I really like the rogue a lot. I espeically like the screen its so clear its awesome. Its almost like high def. I never got a chance to play with the reality but it seems as though almost everything it can do so can the rogue or am I wrong? What does the reality do that the rogue doesnt? If they are going to make the reality the replacement they could have at least make the screen resolution the same. Anyone else think it was dumb for verizon to do this?

The Rogue must be too costly to produce, that is the only thing I can think of.

My son's Rogue is getting replaced under warranty.  Most of the hour on the phone last night with VZW tech support was spent  on hold while they attempted to locate a new Rogue for me.

I imagine if VZW bothered to tell its employees about product EOL decisions,  that their techs would waste less time chasing down nonexistent products...

I found this thread while I was on hold and informed the (now surprised) tech of VZW's decision to drop the Rogue ...

Guess he'll be getting an EnvTouch now ... sigh

I believe I may have found the reason the Rogue was discontinued.  Samsung can't keep up with the demand for amoled screens for all the other companies they produce them for and have a shortage of them.  The Droid Incredible is one of them and is being delayed.  This may be why the Rogue is no longer produced.  Some new phones are coming out with TFT displays when originally planned to have amoled simply because Samsung can't keep up with the demand.
