When on a call if the headset is plugged in the call is disconnected. When not on a call when headset is plugged in it either activates voice messaging or it automatically will dial the last # called depending on the key setting in voice command settings (voice key/headset) or (voice key only). If I receive a call and want to use the headset I have to hang up and call back. If I make a call using the headset it works fine. Is there any way around this? I can't plug in a headset while on a call that was received or called without it disconnecting.

When you say headset, do you mean a stereo headset for listening to music or a headset for talking on the phone?  I have a Jabra C510 headset for talking on my phone (hate bt headsets) and just plugged it in while on a call and then unplugged it without losing the call.

Maybe the headset you have and the Rogue just don't play well together.

I mean a headset for talking. I am using an adapter. The headset is 2.5mm and the other end is 3.5mm to go into the phone. With the phone idle and I plug the adapter in it activates voice commands. If I set the key settings in voice commands to (voice key only) it dials the last # called. If on a call it immediately disconnects the call. If I leave it in it keeps activating voice commands over and over. Maybe it is the adapter but it doesn't make sense because I can call using the headset after exitng voice commands. I can buy a headset made for the rogue but want to know if its the phone or the adapter.

I don't know what to tell you.  Must be the adapter or headset.  Mine uses the 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter as well and I can't duplicate the same issue.  Of course we probably don't have the same headset, so I can't rule that out.

Update is that the same thing happens with the headset.

Have you ruled out the adapter yet?  Or does the new headset not require an adapter?

The new headset didn't need the adapter. That was my way of ruling out the adapter. It will only work if the headset has a switch on it. The tech tried my headset on another rogue on display and it did the same thing. It was tried on a bunch of other phones and it worked fine. He said he's never seen that happen before. In the end the only headset it worked on in the store I didn't like. It was the ear bud kind. I ended up returning the phone and for now went back to my lg chocolate slide phone.
